This beautiful apartment is on the ground floor of a lovingly restored Victorian house with spectacular views over the town and countryside in a tranquil and private setting. Situated 5–10 minutes walk from the centre of town, this gives the advantage of private off-street parking (a must in Dartmouth where parking is hard to find) and a substantial sized garden, also difficult to find in the centre of town.
2 double bedrooms comfortably sleep 4 adults and there is further room on a double sofa bed in the lounge if necessary.
Being the home of resident artist Simon Hart and fashion designer Theri Hart, the apartment reflects their love of contemporary art & design with the emphasis on comfort and enjoyment in a stylish and welcoming environment.
The property has secluded landscaped gardens which were recently shown on national television. Whether you choose Alfresco dining on the natural slate patio, taking in the views of Dartmouth, the river and countryside from the tropically planted lower deck, playing games on the lawn, or sitting around an open fire at night in the sculptural stone seating area, the garden is a retreat of different areas to relax and unwind in.
The comfortable lounge has a sofabed for an additional 2 people if required. TV, video & stereo equipment with a selection of popular films, CD’s & board games are provided. A file is kept in the lounge for reference to local information. The owners take great pleasure in guests enjoying the area as much as they do, so friendly advice and opinions are always on hand about local sights, nearby beaches, long (or short!) coastal walks, boat-trips, restaurants, National Trust gardens and a wealth of other activities.
A utility room with washing machine, drier & freezer is available if needed.
